Earlier this month we were visited by Ashford’s long serving MP, Damian Green, who has been the Member of Parliament for Ashford since 1997. This opportunity was arranged by the Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce, which aims to build and support an environment that is conducive to business growth and enterprise and is extremely proactive in its efforts to ensure that local interests are represented by a voice that has influence.
Stewart Fraser was chosen as a great example of a local manufacturing business that has a long heritage and a strong future, but also has to confront the daily challenges faced by many UK businesses. Damien met with our MD, Clive Croucher and was guided around the factory by Peter Saint, Stewart Fraser’s Works Director.
Clive Croucher, MD, commented:
“We are extremely proud to be a UK manufacturer with a local base and national presence and it was a real honour to receive Damian at Stewart Fraser. It’s a great endorsement for us to have someone with government influence hear first-hand our everyday concerns and be genuinely impressed by the range of products we design and manufacture.”
