BBC Wood Lane Refurbishment

9th February 2015

The transformation project of the Television Centre, led by Stanhope, into a mixed use development includes office and studio space for the BBC, complementary entertainment and leisure facilities, public open space, offices, housing and a hotel. However, a significant aspect of the transformation is the refurbishment of the original BBC Grade II listed building and Stewart Fraser has just finished work on this prestigious project.

Our work on the BBC refurbishment includes the glazed tower atrium where we replaced approximately 60 solid panels with tinted glass double glazed units as well as designed, fabricated and installed a bespoke smoke extract louvre. We also transformed the main entrance to BBC Wood Lane Centre with bespoke cladding, design and install of curtain walling to suit the existing building and two automatic revolving doors.
